Share

Being recognised as a Top Employer goes beyond an accolade, it reflects an organisation’s unwavering commitment to its people. For Mandai Wildlife Group, this recognition affirms a culture where employees are empowered to grow, contribute with purpose, and remain deeply connected to the purpose of building a world where people and wildlife thrive together.

Guided by inclusive policies, progressive people practices and a strong focus on wellbeing and learning, Mandai Wildlife Group has created an environment where employees feel respected, supported and motivated to reach their full potential.

Holistic Wellbeing and Community Care

Mandai Wildlife Group takes a long-term, intentional approach to employee wellbeing, one that supports mental and physical health, recognising that sustainable performance is built on care, connection and inclusion.

Mental wellbeing is strengthened through a combination of wellness talks, webinars and activity-based initiatives, alongside confidential and anonymous counselling support provided through trusted partners. These programmes ensure employees have access to professional help and practical tools to navigate both work and personal challenges.

Physical wellbeing is supported through annual health screenings, fitness initiatives and thoughtfully designed workplaces that promote accessibility. Complementing this, social wellbeing is fostered through an employee-led Sports and Recreation Committee (SRC), which curates inclusive activities such as creative showcases, experiential outings and shared-interest groups — bringing colleagues together across teams and functions.

Beyond wellbeing programmes, Mandai Wildlife Group extends care through the Mandai Cares Hardship Fund, offering financial assistance to employees during times of need and reinforcing a culture where people are supported not only at work, but through life’s challenges.

Empowering Employees Through Voice, Trust and Engagement

A workplace where employees feel valued starts with listening. Mandai Wildlife Group actively seeks feedback through Employee Experience Surveys and translates insights into clear action plans, reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Open communication is reinforced through skip-level engagements with senior leaders, Townhalls and strategy cascade sessions. These platforms encourage open dialogue, allowing employees to ask questions, share perspectives and gain clarity directly from management, building trust and organisational alignment.

Empowerment is further enhanced to the frontline through GEMPower, an initiative designed to equip employees with the confidence to delight guests, carry out effective service recovery and foster a culture of ownership and service excellence.

Supporting Work-Life Harmony in a Dynamic Environment

Recognising the evolving expectations of today’s workforce, Mandai Wildlife Group supports the Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangements Requests (TG-FWAR), empowering employees with greater autonomy over how, when and where work is performed.

Employees may request Flexible Work Arrangements such as flexi-time, flexi-load and flexi-place, enabling them to balance professional responsibilities alongside personal commitments. These policies are complemented by empathetic benefits such as Volunteer Leave and Family / Pet Care Leave, reflecting the organisation’s belief that sustainable performance begins with trust, flexibility and care.

Embedding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Diversity, equity and inclusion are woven into Mandai Wildlife Group’s daily practices and ways of working.

Through partnerships focused on disability inclusion and neurodiversity, the Group creates meaningful pathways via internships, job shadowing programmes, attachments and employment opportunities. A skills-based recruitment approach further supports equitable access to opportunities, contributing a more diverse workforce.

DEI campaigns, workshops and leadership dialogues, such as LEAD in Conversation, equip employees and leaders with the knowledge and confidence to practise inclusive behaviours every day. These efforts are reinforced through certifications such as the Enabling Mark and Progressive Wage Mark, underscoring Mandai Wildlife Group’s commitment to fair, inclusive and progressive employment practices.

Learning, Growth and a Journey into the Wild Ahead

Continuous learning remains a cornerstone of Mandai Wildlife Group’s people strategy. Employees are encouraged to complete at least three learning activities each year, supported by a wide range of internal and external training programmes, workshops and talks.

Distinctive experiential initiatives, including sponsored overseas conservation trips and the Volunteer Keeper Programme, offer employees hands-on exposure to animal care, deepening their connection to the organisation’s purpose and values.

Looking ahead, the rejuvenation of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve with more nature-themed attractions and offerings across the precinct will unlock expanded career opportunities. Employees and future talents alike are invited to “Journey into the Wild” with Mandai Wildlife Group as it continues to grow its impact and bring people and wildlife closer together.
