NTUC LearningHub: Driving Workforce Transformation in an Era of Change
Share
In a rapidly evolving job landscape shaped by technological advancements, global trends, and societal shifts, NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB) stands out as a beacon of adaptability and innovation. Recognized as the Top Brand Award 2024/2025 by Influential Brands, NTUC LHUB continues to champion workforce upskilling and lifelong learning, ensuring Singapore’s workforce remains competitive on the global stage.
Championing the Tech Sector
As artificial intelligence (AI) and technology redefine industries, NTUC LHUB has proactively launched initiatives to future-proof workers. A cornerstone of these efforts is the NTUC LearningHub Tech Talent Academy (NTUC LHUB TTA), introduced in January 2024. NTUC LHUB TTA aims to bridge the gap between the demand for tech talent and skills aggregation, through sourcing, training, and placement of workers in an integrated ecosystem – first-of-its-kind end-to-end offering for tech talent in Singapore. Individuals interested in deepening their tech skills to branch into tech roles can look forward to high-quality and industry-relevant curriculum, as well as support in career transition through job placement initiatives. At the same time, companies with hiring needs to scale up their headcount in tech roles can tap into NTUC LHUB TTA’s talent pool to fill job vacancies.
The ‘NTUC LearningHub for Tech’ brand identity was also unveiled along with NTUC LHUB TTA launch to reinforce NTUC LHUB’s commitment to the tech sector and continual efforts to champion a culture of lifelong learning. The brand logo represents a collaborative approach that represents employers, along with learners and partners to transform together and drive skills training and continued employability of workers in the technology domain.
The academy also offers the “X for Everyone” series, covering essential tech skills in Cloud Computing, Generative AI, and Cybersecurity, enabling workers across all sectors to stay relevant. These initiatives underscore NTUC LHUB’s commitment to aligning with national imperatives like the ‘National AI Strategy 2.0’ announced in December 2023, to triple the number of AI practitioners in Singapore to 15,000 through attracting, training, and nurturing talent, further cementing Singapore’s status as a global tech hub.
Sustainability as a Key Pillar
Sustainability is increasingly becoming a business imperative as organisations across the globe strive to integrate sustainability practices into their core operations. This shift has led to a growing demand for professionals skilled in sustainability management. To address this, NTUC LHUB has launched a series of curated courses and programmes aimed at equipping individuals with the necessary competencies, knowledge and skills to take on in-demand sustainability-related job roles, contributing to a more sustainable future for businesses of all sizes.
In alignment with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030, NTUC LHUB integrates sustainability into its curriculum. Courses like the Zero Waste Manager Program and the National Electric Vehicle Specialist Safety (NESS) Certification equip workers with skills to lead sustainable practices in their industries. These programmes address the pressing need for a skilled workforce capable of driving sustainable practices and supporting Singapore’s transition towards a greener and more sustainable future.
Through partnerships with global leaders like BYD, NTUC LHUB introduced Singapore’s first EV simulator facility, providing hands-on training for electric vehicle maintenance. NTUC LHUB also developed the Certified Event Sustainability (CES) Program in collaboration with Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS) empowering professionals to implement sustainable practices in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector.
Adapting to a Hybrid Workforce
As hybrid and remote work models become standard, NTUC LHUB has embraced digital-first learning solutions. With e-learning platforms, virtual classrooms, and simulation-based training, learners benefit from flexible, accessible education tailored to modern workplace demands.
The NTUC Learninghub Learning eXperience Platform (LXP) offers thematic playlists covering diverse topics, from technology trends to personal development, catering to learners’ unique career aspirations.
